Wow Bryan your photos are beautiful as always. I was just sharing with my friends yesterday how much I appreciate my road trips and quality time with mother earth/nature. She always offers memorable experiences. Thank you for sharing such great reflections and photos! You really captured some great ones! It’s so true, how the passion of photography will have us get up earlier and stay up later, (though easier for me with a group of like-minded enthusiasts haha!). I wish I could join your group but I’ll be in Monument Valley for Milky Way shots that weekend. Maybe next year if you’re offering the class again! 😊 safe travels and cheers to the group for a great time!
Thanks for the memories! The Black Hills/Badlands was the first vacation spot I went to with my husband 20 years ago. We're headed to the Badlands again this summer. I'm so excited to explore this area again!
Your words are starting to reflect on your growing wisdom of life’s lessons and the magic of how photography intersects with each persons eye/brain connection with reality. Really nice reading your posts especially in contrast to most everything else that is bombarding us daily. You remind us of insights we all take for granted and need gentile nudging to “see the light”. I think I’ve said this before but your workshop promotions understate the great fun and learning that comes from the sharing of ideas through photography that comes from the interaction of the participants life’s experiences. New friends from all walks of life as they say.
Great photos and such a perfect description about vacation spots. Describes my feelings for my special place perfectly, a resort in northern Wisconsin in the little town of Fifield called Boyd’s
Have a wonderful time on your workshop and safe travels
There are some gorgeous photographs in this essay Bryan. I especially like the flowers reflecting in the water and the green valley with the gorgeous orange sky in the background. I hope you have an excellent workshop.
I've not been to the Badlands and Black Hills enough. Last time, in fact, was 2019, the year I broke my foot (and then went to Nepal, as Peter West Carey related not long ago on Mastodon). I went for a couple of days to test my foot out before going on the Nepal trip.
But then the pandemic happened and has stymied me finding time to go.
Enjoyed your reflections. Loved the photos!
Always appreciate your reflections about life and photography
