Making a mini-portfolio can clarify your work and give you inspiration. It's a fun exercise that requires minimal investment of time and gives a lot of reward. I'll show you how I did it with my mini-portfolio called The Canoe.
It’s an interesting concept to create typography based mini portfolios. I was surprised to learn that the Art School I am attending frowns upon typographies as they are not open ended conceptually. Which I understand, but your approach is very attractive. I think k I may work on a tree mini portfolio as I have been really learning a lot and enjoying photographing trees.
Brilliant idea. Our artwork, no matter the medium, is also a journal of pieces and parts of our journey as an artist and a person. Just as an artist puts together select pieces for a show, I think it’s a lovely idea to put together a mini portfolio - either for public consumption or personal. On the personal level, by adding reflections of the artwork’s importance to us, either conceptually, artistically, or even spiritually, we keep a record of times and places in our lives that had meaning to us.
I miss my canoe!!! You have some excellent canoe photos that reminds me of many canoe adventures....
Nice article. I love the pics. It brought back memories of several canoe trips I did with my dad in Canada.
Thanks!
