“This time of year is also the time of easy sunrises and sunsets.” Yes! I’m in Maine, and of course I enjoy all the seasons, but I definitely have a lot of favorite things about winter photography - one of which is, “Hey I can finally get up early enough to see the sunrise!” 😂
I usually think of this time of year as Brown Season or Stick Season, buy your suggestion of seeing with a child's eyes has given me renewed motivation to get out! Thanks!
I’ve been enjoying a crystal clear morning today while working at our Hot Chocolate 5/10/15 K race this morning. It was just under 30 degrees when I started this morning so I got to watch as the sun hit the late leaves still on the trees and covered with a real fine coating a frost, just beautiful! Unfortunately, since I am working I couldn’t have my camera with me, oh well, still got to enjoy a sunny, late autumn morning.
I definitely have to see about taking your winter workshop in 2025 assuming you have one...the timing of the February 2024 one is going to run up against a con I am going to, alas.
