Back in August, I wrote about the Photos We Don’t Take. I wrote about the style of photo that I wanted to take more of and vowed to take more. So far, I’ve not succeeded. And if I haven’t succeeded, I can’t share those photos. But, what about the photos that we take and don’t share?
Fun to see your other interests and I'm sure I have lots of company!! Maybe you could expand, and a second page somewhere else easy to access? Thanks for sharing You!!!!
I could but I don't feel like I need to share them. Every now and then, I post them on my personal FB page and once in a great while, I'll post a bunch on my FB photography page.
Loved the article! I completely understand your need to establish a style and brand. I have learned a lot about your style and enjoy it a great deal. The creative side of me wants to explore IR, ICM, street photography, portraits and more. I don’t share many of them, but keep them as new software capabilities keep growing and may make those experiments worthy of sharing later. Thanks again - great article!
I have been taking a lot of images recently just to learn. And I find myself hitting the delete button A LOT! The aspect of your post that interests me most is the concept of style. For years I have been over saturating images, I blame social media, I am consciously trying to find a style of both photography and editing that is less saturated.
Maybe different than your usual stuff is really the stuff? I photograph things that interest me, and sometimes others are interested too. But I have no commercial agenda, just a retired guy with some photo equipment. 😎🕊️
I understand why you don’t post them, so why not create a new account just for these. You will be surprised how many will also like them. 👍
I don't really take them to share them. These types of photos are mainly for my enjoyment.

I really enjoyed seeing your other photos, and the article. Have a great week
Personally, I enjoy seeing photos you have taken different than your usual stuff. It gives me a glimpse into your personality.

I have an older newsletter that was about style. I don't remember exactly what I said, but I think I wrote it on Substack

I'm primarily interested in photographing landscapes, so my usual stuff is really the stuff. I also like taking the other stuff.
